A three-years-project financed in 2014, DROP APP is a Erasmus plus KA2 Strategic Partnerships.

TARGET

Direct target

  • secondary school and Vet institutions trainers and teachers, guidance counselors, educators, etc
  • Indirect target
  • Early intervention activities: youngsters aged 14 to 17 at risk of dropping out or/and without any secondary school qualification or school and vocational training drop-outs
  • Prevention activities: young people aged 10 to 13 in their 2 last years of primary school

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

  • Set up and promote measures of prevention and early intervention to fight issue of dropouts so as to achieve the Europa 2020 targets (Reduce the rates of early school leaving below 10%)
  • Modify/Improve policies through the inclusion of effective prevention and intervention actions against the issue of early school leaving to already existing curriculum / programs of activities
  • Make school and vocational training system more attractive


SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  • Define tools and implementation methods – based on new technologies – to improve communications and interactions to early school leavers and those at risk of, in school-life and other educative contexts
  • Get a sample survey on how early school leavers and those at risk of, perceive their condition in relation with themselves, their family and society where they live
  • Define and test tools and practical methods to facilitate interaction, sharing of emotions, discussion of the early school leavers (and those at risk of), with peers and support figures such as mentors
  • Test the integration of ICT tools and methods in already existing preventive and intervention actions against dropout, in order to improve the communication and relation parts
  • Empower youngsters awareness of the importance of some life-values such as legality, solidarity, respect of rules related to their role they will have in the society as citizens
  • Share of project outcomes (tools, implementation and evaluation methods, experimentation results) among partners and moreover, among networks of education stakeholders
